Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

Your first month's rent and your security deposit are both due at the lease signing. Please confirm these amounts with our team in advance.

Move-in Date & Inspection

We will set your official move-in date and provide all relevant inspection information at the lease signing.

Utilities

As a Fieldstone Property Management client, you are responsible for placing all utility accounts in your name and keeping the accounts current throughout the duration of your tenancy. Please take care of this immediately after the lease signing.

Move-out Checklist

All tenants must complete a move out form!

Please click below for the move out form. This provides us with information like your actual move out date, and forwarding address for security deposit return.

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Planning to move out of your home? We ask you to please provide us with written notice of your intent to vacate the property. Refer to your lease to determine your legal move-out date.

Property Condition

Your home should be brought back to rent-ready conditions before you return the keys. This includes taking care of the following:

Rental Cleaning: Carefully clean every part of your rental home, taking care to remove all personal possessions and trash from the property. Pay special attention in the kitchen and in any bathrooms, where you will need to sanitize all hard surfaces.

Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If you typically address outdoor landscaping at your property, take care of these tasks once more before vacating the premises.

Repairs: If any damage occurred during your stay, please take the necessary steps to repair such damage. This may include patching nail and screw holes, painting discolored areas, and replacing broken glass.

Security Deposit

The deposit you pay covers damage that might occur during your stay. We will conduct a final inspection after your departure and if any new damage is identified, we will make repairs and deduct the related expenses from your deposit. The remainder will be returned to you.

Remember, you cannot use your deposit as your final month's rent. Failure to pay your last month's rent may result in late fees, legal action, and adverse reports to the relevant credit agencies.
